Tinubu removed the subsidy on his first day in office. He says Nigeria was heading for bankruptcy and could not pay for the subsidy.

The fuel price has risen since the subsidy was removed. The President says the economy is growing steadily.

He also talked about the Students Loan Act which he signed in 2023. Over a million students have been supported through the act.

Vice President Kashim Shettima said the economy would have collapsed if Tinubu had not made some tough decisions. The economy has grown by 4.43 per cent in the last quarter.
