The project will also help protect the environment and lower carbon emissions. The commission has partnered with Attahir Enterprises Nigeria Limited to implement the project.

The electric vehicles will include tricycles, taxis, and buses, and will be distributed to beneficiaries who will undergo training before operating them. The success of the initial phase will determine the possibility of expanding the deployment of electric vehicles across the region.

The project is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of ordinary Nigerians, particularly in the North-East region. The commission has urged stakeholders to support the initiative and sensitise residents to ensure its acceptance and sustainability.
