The lawmakers met with President Bola Tinubu to resolve their grievances. The meeting was led by Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.

The decision to rejoin the party is seen as a significant development ahead of the 2027 general elections. The APC is working to consolidate its hold in the state.

The development is part of a series of reconciliation efforts within the APC.
